I didn't want to point the finger too abruptly earlier, but after further review (mostly of the FPA threads), I concur with the other posters that both Fortress Fund and Knight Capital Markets are absolutely running a scam operation. I also ...

Depends which trendline. Technically we broke the uptrend line, however, we touched to the pip the downtrend line at 106.17 (drawn off the 10/15 and 12/27 highs). That comes roughly in line with today's S1, will be interesting if it doesn't hold..

Thanks for starting this thread, I was considering starting one for this pair as well. This has been one of my favorite trading crosses of 2008, a literal pip printing press. Attached is a zoomed out 4-hour chart of the past 2 months. As you can ...

Hi Habeeb, Mid-pivots are just simply halfway between the standard pivots (halfway between the daily and the R1/S1, halfway between S1 & S2, etc). Here's a pic of the euro today, support being found at the daily/S1 mid-pivot.

Looks like the March 1984 high at 9648.

I think the 200-day SMA is going to play a pivotal role. Ever since that huge gap down in Oct, AJ has tried numerous times to reclaim the 200-day and reversed. A breakout above puts the all-time high back in the lineup.

It's much more than that. The default MT4 MACD indicator lacks the fast signal line (instead of showing the fast signal line, it gives you a histogram of it). This is basically excluding half of the indicator itself, and you can no longer see the ...

I don't know if "trading the obvious" is considered an edge, but regardless, it's a huge money maker...

The headfake break of the pennant formation on UJ is driving a short squeeze. Equities strengthening today is also helping the run. The rally will probably fail at the overhead resistance zone, 107.50 - 107.90.

Looks like the break came as a headfake. 100pip turnaround so far on UJ. If we get an equity turnaround today, carry trade could enjoy a nice short squeeze.

Yeah the range this week has been a bit disappointing (compared to last week's roller coaster). The Dow is down 550 points this week and CJ is off only 130 pips. The culprit is UJ, which is off a whopping 10 pips since last Friday's close.. ...

A bit dated screenshot, but this was typically the case. UJ never fell below 3-pips. After several calls to VPs at ADM, the spread on UJ was magically lowered to 2-pip (only occasionally). Not very competitive compared to 0.5 pip on IB & Duka, with ...

First buy signal since mid-Dec, I'm in from mid 104. Everything looking up on this pair now. Huge outperformance of the loonie against every single currency today (especially the dollar). Back above the weekly trendline, above the H4 downtrend, MACD ...

My trendline shows up at 7561, so I don't see a test yet, although fairly close. Right below that is the 61.8 fib off the big move in August (7543), and below that the 200-day sma at 7523. I'll look to buy in a consolidation zone around these ...

Never received a sell signal on my end, in fact I'm showing a buy signal. These are GCT's original settings. I would recommend everyone confirm & backtest before trading live. dynami - Are you sure you're using GCT's original code (from the Word doc ...
- Trader KGB replied Jan 9, 2008
I think you're using different code than mine. Did GCT supplement the code beyond what he put in that original Word doc from page 1? I still only have that one trade from early Sunday, exited yesterday for break even.

My own philosophy regarding crosses is to focus much more on the underlying majors rather than the cross itself. Find out what is driving them and the current technical & fundamental situation on them. When you find both of the majors in agreement ...

I posted this on the CAD/JPY thread, but I just wanted to call it to attention here too. This has been a literal pip printing press for a week now. USD/JPY has now tested the 23.6 fib/109.75 for the seventh straight time. A short at 109.75 with a ...

So far playing out exactly as I wanted it to. Consolidating nicely at the 78.6 fib/108 support level. Sunday/Monday we had a 145-pip move off of this level from the test on Friday, followed by another 200-pip move off this level when it was tested ...

Damn, I really should have left some type of buy stop or alert at our old friend, Mr. 8684. That old guy is pure gold.. Anyone buy in?
