It is a pleasure to be here at MMU. Manchester is a focus area for our Economy 2030 Inquiry, a collaboration between the Centre for Economic Performance at LSE where I am based and the Resolution Foundation, to develop a new economic strategy for cities to lead growth in the country. Speaking in Manchester, I guess there are huge congratulations due to some for the blue treble, but I suppose there’s a red corner that may not be as happy!
