The Japanese weather agency on Tuesday lifted all tsunami warnings issued after a powerful earthquake hit the Noto Peninsula and other areas on the Sea of Japan coast the previous day. The quake triggered a tsunami measuring about 1.2 meters in Wajima, Ishikawa Prefecture, as well as others smaller than 1 meter at other locations, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.
