North Korea fired around 10 short-range ballistic missiles into the East Sea on Thursday, the South Korean military said, a day after sending hundreds of large balloons carrying trash and manure into the South. The Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said it detected the flight vehicles presumed to be short-range ballistic missiles fired from the Sunan area in Pyongyang at 6:14 a.m. toward the East Sea. It did not provide further details as an analysis is currently under way.
