New Zealand’s immigration slowed to an 11-month low in April as record numbers of citizens departed, suggesting a softening of the population pressures that have been worrying policymakers. Annual net immigration dropped to 98,464 from a downwardly revised 106,439 in the 12 months through March, Statistics New Zealand said Wednesday in Wellington.
