Australia’s Unemployment Rate dropped to 4.0% in May, compared with the expectations of 4.0% and the previous figure of 4.1%, according to the official data released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) on Thursday. Furthermore, the Australian Employment Change arrived at 39.7K in May from 38.5K in April, compared with the consensus forecast of 30.0K. The participation rate in Australia increased to 66.8% in May, compared to 66.7% in April. Meanwhile, Full-Time Employment increased by 41.7K in the same period from -6.1K in the previous reading.
