US Consumer Confidence Weakens Slightly in June

The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index® dipped in June to 100.4 (1985=100), down from 101.3 in May. The Present Situation Index—based on consumers' assessment of current business and labor market conditions—increased to 141.5 (1985=100) from 140.8 last month. However, the Expectations Index—based on consumers' short-term outlook for income, business, and labor market conditions—fell to 73.0 (1985=100) in June, down from 74.9 in May.
