According to preliminary data from the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), real (price-adjusted) production in the manufacturing sector fell by 2.5% in May 2024 compared to April 2024, adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects. In a three-month comparison, production from March 2024 to May 2024 remained at the same level (0.0%) as in the previous three months. In April 2024, production rose by 0.1% compared to March 2024 after revision of the preliminary results (preliminary value: -0.1%).
