Disliked{quote} It's true that day trading is often challenging, with many participants facing losses across various markets, including stocks and commodity futures. While most people tend to make money through long-term stock investments, day trading is a different ball game. Regarding the foreign exchange market, it's not necessarily a zero-sum game for losers. The dynamics involve spreads and commissions, contributing to a three-participant game. It's not solely about losers; it's a complex arena where successful trading requires skill, strategy, and...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Day trading is one of the strategies used by many traders today. It's is a complex strategy, but everyone believed that it's the easiest way to make money in the shortest amount of time.Ignored
DislikedDaytrading/short-term stock/index options is beneficial in that respect, in that your loss is limited to your investment, you don't have to call a specific high or low, and there is normally ample time to mitigate any losses you see happening. But, like currency trading, you need to be able to become accurate with the ability to predict, with a high degree of certainty, the direction of the instrument you are trading. Short term, high confidence trades will make more money, regardless of what you are trading, that a long term investor-type mindset....Ignored
DislikedAnd it is finally in. Trump Org is toast in New York. A total of 364 Millions USD fine for Dumpy, Don Jr. and Eric. My trust in the US justice system gained some traction today. Now it will be interesting to watch whether GOP and MAGA continue to act like retail forex traders and double down on this losing trade. What a day for justice! A big thank you to all involved making this happen.Ignored

These are just the main ones. Could also add support and resistance levels, which work until they don't. Which make them random as well, however a bit more consistent than the other “signs”.
So what is left? Not much aside from fundamentals, trading on economic indicators (just avoid the time of actual release of data), and maybe utilizing flock behaviour (trends, but be aware of what I said above..).
I am sure the fine people in here have thoughts on this, hopefully someone has a revolutionary strategy on how to beat the FX market?
DislikedSeems this thread derailed at some point, but here are a few of my views of why people lose on FX trading: Trying to trade the news. I did this, sitting in front of my computer when key economic data was released. Jumping in on whatever direction the price was moving. Worked like a charm 5-6 times, until it didn't. Price would move sharply in one direction, I jumped onboard, only to see price do a 180 and keep moving against my position. Especially when more than one economic indicator was released at the same time. Technical analysis. Let's face...Ignored
DislikedTechnical analysis. Let's face it, it does not work. Chart analysis (double top, double bottom HS, IHS…), price analysis (red candle, green candle, engulfing, doji, shooting star…). They are unreliable as hell, and cannot be trusted. They work highly infrequently, which means they are random.
