This was one of the 2 options listed in the Benn bill, by 19th Oct if the government 1) does not reach a deal, nor 2) gain parliament approval of a no deal brexit. Then the government will need to request an extension from EU.

I think a vote of no confidence on himself, if passed can be used to essentially dissolve parliament until after the 31st Oct if he makes the elections date on the same day, since parliament will start prorogation next week and it is usually ...

Not sure if Boris actually have a choice here, regardless how the new law jeopardize his negotiation stance, the law is clear that if parliament cannot agree on a deal and fail to support a no-deal, then the PM has to request an extension from EU on ...

I struggle to find the directions to be honest, while it is easy to see the trend by looking at the swing highs and lows after the fact, but it is difficult to differentiate whether the trend is continuing or is reversing live...

Hmm disappointing NFP results should have led to a rise in GU, but price is falling back down, if even a bad NFP result doesn't push this up, then I am going to maintain the short bias too.

I think price is waiting on NFP to move out of the current range, I am still holding a down bias on GU, will see what happens

Just want to ask how do you differentiate between a pullback and the start of a trend reversal? While I still think that the overall bias on GU is still down, but the recent strength in this up move could also be the start of a uptrend?

"London Court Rejects Legal Challenge Over PM Johnson’s Suspending Of Parliament – BBC Report" resulted in a spike up in GU, then a quick drop back down, feels like manipulation to me, and further reinforce my view that today is a down day for GU.

I am thinking that since today is friday, people would be taking profit on their long positions before the weekend, and since the ADP result yesterday was very good, and price could start dropping from NFP result. The good brexit news should have ...

Feels like the bulls died down for now, so probably range, maybe ADP this afternoon might bring down GU a little. The question then becomes what's next? There were news this morning that essentially says EU believes further negotiations is ...

I think GBP might keep rallying on the back of Benn bill till 1.23 or 1.235, feels like lots of bears were trapped below 1.2 level once again, 1.2 - 1.23 is starting to look like a large whipsaw range to me, so a big move is probably coming once we ...

Doesn't look like UK is going to leave the EU, just hold a second referendum, EU is going to impose this as a condition for extensions.

Looks like kicking the can down the road it is, now that EU knows Boris most likely lost his no deal card, there are no incentives to re-open the withdrawal agreement. Not so sure if it is really going to be as simple to get an extension from EU ...

The spike was likely due to the emergency debate application being handed to the house of common speaker, so that they can get a chance to debate and vote on the Benn's Bill.
