Hi Jason, Not much of an issue but I figure this is a place to post anything "buggy" about Trading Station. Since the last software update, the "Net Long/Short" tabs on charts aren't updating. It's not a big deal or anything but it's a feature that ...

I figure I'll post this here before I pass out. I was up late trading Brexit and I gotta say, FXCM was on point. Every order executed just fine, Trading Station 2 stayed smooth, and the data feed was stable the entire time. Y'alls services were ...

Hi Pip! Maybe I'm an anomaly but, I never experience platform freezes or price spikes - at least outside of what's typical for market volatility. I've certainly never had my account frozen or closed because of profitability. Just those occasional ...

It's tough to take recommendations from the loser pool on the internet. Realistically speaking, if you're trading with a regulated broker (US or otherwise) with a good assortment of research tools and a platform you're comfortable with, you're fine. ...

I tried explaining this in another thread to no avail. If only traders sought to understand the business they're in, they'd probably lose less. I guess understanding comes after looking like a baller on a forum.

It's showing the same thing. I mentioned earlier, the rates you see aren't going to match what your broker charges or pays you. Brokers, as I mentioned before, have leeway with what they charge as rollover. In OP's case, FXCM charged him way too ...

The problem with your experience is that you've already formulated a bias without seeking to understand the underlying cause. I do not work for FXCM, that's just ridiculous. Hell, I never even insulted you for switching brokers, if you felt ...

I would say that the spike in the LIBOR rate triggered it. The difference(s) between FXCM's charge and other brokers' charges really can't be known unless we hear from others at other brokerages who experienced (or didn't) the same thing.

Don't worry man, I'm not coming at you or anything. I just want to see a clearer picture. When it comes to rollover rates, there are two methods brokers use to calculate their rollover fees. One is the "end-of-day" rate. They'll only use the last ...

Y'all need to face reality. If OP had been PAID that rollover fee, he would have never questioned it. It has nothing to do with "corporate shilling." It has nothing to do with "broker conspiracy." It has nothing to do with "being fleeced." It's just ...

Hey bud, no worries, I don't take offense to stuff 'round here.
I was fleeced by my broker and I have proof!I won't make the claim that FXCM is perfect however, keep in mind, overnight swaps for brokers typically come with a markup. As such, brokers do have some flexibility when it comes ...

FXCM didn't used to run a hybrid model. They're doing it now. If FXCM were some "bucket shop" that profited when their clients lose money, they would have came out of the SNB decision like gods. Instead, FXCM lost a quarter of a billion dollars. ...

What do you think swap rates for spot FX are based on? It's not going to be quoted the same way as it is at your broker. Typically, changes in the overnight rate aren't significant enough to cause a noticeable change in rollover rates. The reason ...

So, if changing the server remedied one problem for you, all you're left with is the rollover issue. They actually posted an article on DailyFX about the "squeeze" traders could possibly feel as a result of the end-of-fiscal-year rate spike. It shot ...

You guys gotta understand something; if you're trying to hold buy and sell inventory at the same time, you're effectively trying to trade like a liquidity provider. Liquidity providers make prices based on their inventory levels. Liquidity providers ...

If I may... Pick a bias, buy or sell. It's easier and less risky. Don't look for maximum leverage, fake hedging or any of that amateur nonsense. You won't afford a kick in the teeth. Be realistic. Set a maximum overall position. Know when to stop ...
