Jim No: I apologize for the tardy response... I've been off playing grandpa. First, my position sizing and risk management rules tell me exactly my lot limit for a trade; and for me "a trade" begins when I get on board a directional move and ...

I have been a Profitunity trader of one degree or another since 1999. I moved my trading focus from futures to the spot Forex in 2004. It is still my trading vehicle of choice for catching a strong trend and capturing profits far greater than the ...

Goodthings: I was told by a former bank trader that options expire each weekday at 10:00 USET. As a result, he said you can expect "strange" things to happen during the 09:30-10:30 USET period. This may explain what you have been observing. I ...

Goodness, Matt, I thought your original question was reasonable; but we seemingly have some folks with sensitive hides! A market-maker, whether they are a relatively small broker or a giant interbank, can see every nested client order on the trading ...

Placing your straddle orders as oco orders (one cancels the other) would eliminate risking both sides of your straddle. Have any of you tried this? If so, does it help this strategy?

FXDD Spreads — I caught 1-pip bumps in gbpusd and usdchf Friday (10/27) for at least 10-15 minutes. They were back to normal about 08:20CT. I could see no news cause and there was no explanation from FXDD.
Anyone else got higher FXDD spreads?
