PeterFM, I'm no professional in any way related to trading but regarding your chart at post 27, I think your alternative demand line is not preferred because if you were to do that, you would use the same bar for both the highest high and the lowest ...

He uses the trendline function of your charting system to draw what he calls the supply and demand lines. I don't think the trend direction has any relevance to drawing the supply and demand lines (at least for what he has covered so far).

The link is just fine to me (I double-checked just now). Have you had the same problems before?

Here's my updated testing result after 4 full days: v1.0c1 37-4 -343 pips with -$1,200 float(0.1 lots) v63-TS 17-1 210 pips with -$1,600 float(0.1 lots) As everyone can tell, this is not a typical result for firebird but I think I can say, ...

I feel for you, Humax. That sucked big time! I hope that GBP/USD will somehow rally 300 pips soon.

I guess it is critical that you start out trading firebird at the right time. I almost pulled the trigger and started trading live, instead of demo, but I'm glad now that i didn't. It'd be nice to get ahead of the game by 1,000 to 2,000 pips before ...

Thanks for the info! I was just concerned since we are so used to seeing like 1GB or 2GB of RAM on new puters of today.

Altapowder, I had imagined that you'd have buys and sells alternately with your settings without having many positions stay open too long. Isn't that even more vulnerable than other settings in case of a strong trend? Did you set the MaxOpenOrders ...

You seem to have a really good result with your settings. That's impressive in that your float isn't that high for the profit you are making. What's the time frame you are using?

Thanks for sharing the info on the VPS. I am sure a lot of people would be interested in this. I had seen your post in other thread before and got interested in it but I found that the RAM on the VPS isn't that much. If you buy a puter now, you ...

No problem, Panjan! Thanks for your advice, Traderone. That's exactly what I was going to do...trading only those three pairs to see how it works out since they are the ones most people don't have much problem with. The result of my firebird demo ...

That's a smart move you made. I have been thinking it's kinda too chicken to avoid the currency pairs after only one failure but I'm gonna drop them right away!

Thank you for posting your settings, Stockwet. I don't know how common it is but my float on G/U has exceeded 800 pips. I wonder how are people running hedge versions of firebird doing last couple of days.

I'm running v1c1 too and not doing that well, yesterday with U/J and Today with G/U. Float on G/U approaching 700 pips right now. What are your settings, Stockwet? My settings are 0.1% on 30 min chart (changed from 1m chart last night). Are you ...

I had the exact same problem (actually it's not a problem) before. With 1c versions, TP, SL and pipstep are overwritten by the EA. I think it obtains these settings from the daily average ranges of each currency pair. Thus, it is totally expected ...
