Spread is -2.7, but the quote they are displaying is 20 pips above the actual price, so you press short at 116.45, it fills you in at 116.25 at a loss of -22. I'm looking at another broker's quotes, they seem to be ok, FXCM's quotes are 20-30 pips ...

How do you mean? There is no centralized exchange in forex where orders can be placed, it's global. There is no market depth in this market to the best of my knowledge.
