[quote=chiknthief;5994601] I aren't arguing, I was merely asking a question, knowing you believe in the cycles, yet observing that you had bull / bear ?? in your heading. I am interested in your seasonal theories but the jury is still out so to ...

RT, your divergence said we'd come back to 1.04, any clues as to where to next or another point it's said we will reach? Sorry, I still need to learn more about your methods but think they have great potential as I already trade longer term & start ...

[QUOTE=chiknthief;5994390]BULL / BEAR ??? Does recent price action make you doubt the seasonal cycle?

I'd only call it a retrace or pullback at this stage, not a reversal. I also thinks it's been more about data out of the US & possibly to do with ECB announcements rather than this big a move on the employment data. I'm holding onto my shorts & I'd ...

Nice idea RT but it would be cheaper for Elite to just avoid the spreads and give his son the money! I like that Elite is trying to teach his son about money & trading and doing it with good money management to start with via use of micro account.

Hi KillerWhale, just wondering if that was mentioned in this thread or elsewhere? Can you provide a link? I'm not disputing it just interested in verifying it & would then note your recommendations more closely in future (my way of sorting through ...

I'm worried that Draghi won't deliver (at least not before the German court ruling) and that we will thus see markets disappointed. Irony is that even if they are and EUR drops than we could see correction up on AUD as EUR & AUD have largely moved ...

Good to see you back JP, had been wondering what you were up to. Do we get to see the paper or summary of? I've experienced a frustration of being part time trader today (trying to trade unemployment whilst at my other job only to get interupted ...

Thanks RT, it does help some, although also raises the question why in your example you wouldn't hold the 1.02 & 1.01 until 1.04 (or give them the chance to get there) if you are confident of price getting there? There was also a second part to my ...

[quote=Robot Trader;5988397]Looking firstly at the H4 chart the divergence did not show itself until around 7th May and I calculate the total down move from where the divergence started to be 690 pips, but if you had started to attack from where the ...

Sorry that's what you get when you only look at the headline numbers -8.8K for employment change & 5.1% for unemployment rate. Looking at the report employment & unemployment both increased, participation rate stayed the same and unemployment rate ...

Hmm, fewer employed but unemployment rate drops, guess that means the participation rate also decreased or am I missing something?

Thanks Balmain Boy for sharing that info! I'm particularly interested in knowing more about the bond inflows, is that related to the positive swap rate? If not what drives the bond inflows? (Sorry I don't know much about bonds)

I don't think we are going anywhere until the employment data is released in about 90 minutes and the results will determine whether we see down or up in the short term.

When entering a trade you should have a plan as to what you would do if price goes up and another for if it goes down. From where you are I'd try to look at whether price is likely to return to 1.0378 soon and whether current loss is larger than ...

I hope it continues down too, but that's because I have more shorts than longs. An entry on it's own is not enough, it still needs a plan and risk management. I had a long at 9675 from 1/6/12 that I made just over 300 pips on but it would have been ...

would depend on your broker as to the low, expect greater variance around a spike like after GDP. My broker low was only 1.0190 edit: & my price is based on mid point between bid & ask, although it's generally only .8 to 2 pip spread for me.
