I'll try to summarize what I've read here - let me know what I got wrong feb. 1. Using 30m charts (could be 60 or 240 but dropping lower will be noisier). 2. Entry and exit based on S&R. 3. S&R is just marking up the swing highs and lows as seen on ...

Don't take this as an attack. I actually want to read your posts but it is much harder to read a post with every word capitalized than one where you just capitalize the beginning of the sentence. That help the eye follow your structure and pace. Can ...

The prior posts hint at what dibs is ... a means of entering trend/momentum opportunities with a relatively low defined risk. So first define trend/momentum worth chasing. The apply dibs. IMO of course.

I agree with you on the arbitrariness of 4 hour periods. If you do work on 4 hour bars again though have a look at the 4 hour bars likely to be used by the majority of players. For some work I did, these two were much more effective than others. ...

This is only one traders opinion ... People get confused about what they are trying to do or perhaps they confuse one type of objective with another. Anyway; I am moving from discretionary to system trading with minor overrides for the few things ...

That is interesting alter; I was of the impression that ONS probably had better stats than FSP. What was your finding on them individually? What sort of allowances had you made for slippage and commissions? Thanks.

Agree with split_unit on nzdjpy. Although macds and any other momentum indicator show "divergence" in consolidation, that is all it is, divergence. The trend is still up and a nice consolidation is a great basis for a continuation move. The best ...

I still say Yes and No to this. True you must trade what you see. False, the weaknesses of your software must set your timezone. If a majority of traders see one timezone then thats the best one to trade (because the PA at SR is valid for more ...

I would question the value of 8 hour charts Canuck mainly because I don't believe they are much used. Everything I've seen from amateur or pro suggests that 24hr and 1hr are the dominant timeframes with 4 hour coming along behind. IMO, if not many ...
