I had a sell order at .76896, with TP 10pips. The high print on my broker went to .76895. Such a bummer, it missed taking up my order by .1pip. Yeah waiting for Thursday's employment data.

Depends on what "top" or "bottom" you're trying to pick. The GBP had no known technical support so the risk was big. The AUD on the other hand has definable topside resistance. Gives good risk/return as long as one knows when to exit the trade if it ...

Given the sentiment towards this pair today, highly likely it will close the gap up to 7710-20. The topside trendline will be ignored. How it behaves after that will determine where it goes from here. Maybe alas the pair will sit in a new range; or ...

all it needs is a push from something fundamental. looking at the time remaining before the wedge squeezes it out either side, it's gotta be either FOMC or RBA in november. a change in yield balance will push it over the edge.

Im with you on that. Good level (7640) to go short from and target something like a 23.6% fib retracement. For me I'm looking for 7622 to TP.

np. one more tap at 7628-30 and i'd say there's a high chance that's the top for today. AUD/JPY has also hit resistance at 79.59. JPY has hit trendline resistance. after moving 80pips, i'd be quite surprised if the A/U has more buyers to take it ...

yep, it's likely to be heading upwards actually. i monitor the A/U side by side with the U/J & US$ index, the correlation yesterday was more related to the JPY. The US$ movement was a result of the JPY movement. It could be both ways too though, ...

i'm equally confused too. the markets have been very confusing today. sharp one directional moves...and then sharp reversals. the only old story about AUD strength is about yield factors which make the AUD more attractive. but in the current climate ...

hmm, where do we go from here with this pair
AUD/USDanyone has a view? oil is down, gold is down, the USD is behaving erratically. imo, leaning on technical levels will be the best option for intraday trading for now in the absence of ...

nice bullish reversal 1hr candle. hit the 100bar on the M5 chart. as of now, it's the longest looking 1hr bullish candle in a long time. this is where it may probably reverse downwards yet again. pending what the USD does...the 30pip climb was about ...

there are different versions of the line, depending on where the points were picked earlier in the year when drawing the line. but the lowest possible variation should put the trend support around 7490. another version sits at 7506 - and it just ...

here we are again at an important level. trend line support for 2016. if it gives way, the implication is that this pair will fall through quite a bit, first target being 7440 (september low). if it bounces off, we could most likely be seeing a ...

Wow what a drop on nothing. That usually means a reversal or at least a 50%fib retrace from where it began earlier today. Bought @ 7550. Hope this yields something. Been quite difficult to trade this pair recently.

Trading the RBA decision in awhile: most likely no rate change, but market will look at the statement and price action - If Aud rises: sell orders placed at 7710 & 7723 If Aud falls: no order, but will consider buying at 4h 200ma with a tight stop ...

it's annoying isn't it! i am bullish AUD, but agree that it was better to buy in the low 76c or 75c. now that we're hovering in the upper 76s, it's irritating cos i've closed all my long trades but yet can't seem to find a comfortable time to switch ...

argh i was apprehensive whether to take up a short at 7710 earlier. i was looking for it to run at least until 7720 or so. instead now i've bought from 7663 again. the spike up to 7710 earlier was influenced by yen selling. brought AUD/JPY to a ...

i'd say consolidation.... until yellen spoke and scared the market temporarily (the USD is now slowly selling back). if you look at previous rejections off the highs, the pair fell hard and fast. in this case, after touching the high at 7698 ...
