I do trade divergence using an 8,3 Stochastic. I would not trade the divergence you show since it is not obvious enough. I need a noticeable angle on the price and indicator. image The useful divergence on your chart would be on the double top ...

Hi Wizlon, Great to see you've got an interesting thread going. I'm going to give your system a try. I have my own methods I use, but so far I haven't ventured into the 5 minute arena.

I think you need one more indicator to filter your trades and get the record to 99.9%. I would recommend my favorite: the NonLag dot dot dot dash dash dash dot dot dot indicator which broadcasts an alert when ever a trade starts to go the wrong way. ...

Hi Jack, Good point, and normally that's what I would look at. In this case point 1 was an interim high and there is precedent for this in one of the PDFs at the start of the thread. I've added the alternate point 1. It would still have worked but ...

Hi diamond, I never say never, but it looks like price has already dropped below your point 4. I usually find it easier to draw the wedge shape first. That is connect 1 &3 then 2&4. Price should stay within those bounds except for point 5 which is ...
