Wormy, check out GBPLFX, it played out like a textbook play. It broke through the daily long term trendline, and then came back up to test it, and rejected it. The 3 inside down on the LFXJPY daily now seems to be playing out too. If your sell ...

Cable Update (GBPUSD)

Good work, Wormboy! My bias is still short, but I'm watching this recent drop to see if it was just a shakeout to allow the SM to buy at a discount. We broke that trendline on GBPLFX that I felt was important - heh, we broke it with style, lol. I'd ...

Talking of H&S formations, this one on the dow daily failed spectactularly. A site I visit remarked that this was the smart money pushing the news out there; this formation was being talked about on cnbc, bloomberg, the papers, everywhere! They ...

I think longs were the right play in the earlier part of the day, but it changed right around the us news release. Good spot on the crows, I didn't notice them before.

I was going to ask you if your sentiment had changed, I guess you've already answered with your stop and reverse. I think tomorrow is a bearish day for gu and gj - I've posted my thoughts in the daily candlestick thread. The key is going to be ...

GBPLFX is at a key point I think. It looks like the lower trendline is going to come under real pressure. Check out the weekly thus far, that's a particularly bearish candle based on the movement of the first four days of the week. The orange line ...

Good call on that bounce, Bones. Here's a followup, I think the chart speaks for itself. I think we'll break the support, and then look to head towards the ltl of the channel.

I have observed them moving in 'opposite' directions on lower timeframes, I hadn't ever put up daily charts and looked at them side by side. Nice post.

I can do better than that, I can provide you a link to a metatrader dollar index. url I believe they also have some us indexes too. If you're interested in something similar for other currencies, the aforementioned lfx charts, here's a link to a ...

This whole week seems to have been geared around making money based on the fomc statement. Knock it down first, buy at discount, mark it up, wait for fomc statement, spike it up to take out the stops, spike it down to take out the stops below, carry ...

Spot on with the 6600 level barrier needing to be broken for further up move. That's an area malcolmb identified too. We also seemed to bounce off a gj trendline from the top, but I'm confident we're going to retest and break through it, we're just ...

The WoRmHoLeBeen having this discussion about the $ turning around again in the daily candlestick thread. It looks like the $ wants to retest previous areas of resistance now turned support. I think we'll need to ...

I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw this.
The WoRmHoLeI do agree though, the longer term tfs have been showing the dollar struggling to rise further - looks like we due for a retest of some the recent support levels on the usdlfx charts. I still ...

I think a retest of the h4 lows is on the cards today, circa the 1.7800 level, break through that, we're looking at 1.7750. If that goes, you'd have to think a retest of the recent low at 1.7550.

Thanks for that, Bones. I have noticed that the $ and Yen tend to move in opposite directions, it's the sole reason I don't trade the $ Yen pair. The daily upper wick on yesterday's yen daily is quite large in comparison to other bearish in neck ...

Bones, you were spot on about the yen. I was quite surprised by the movement on the yen pairs (I was expecting yen strength). What made you think that a fall in the dollar would prevent the yen from gaining strength? GBPLFX is showing sign of ...
