Not so simple to apply, that's why there's so many doing it incorrectly and why Murrey's division or multiplication of 3125 to calculate octaves has been popular

I was looking at this bitcoin swing trade, where the channels are suggesting price may have topped but the focal point is suggesting higher to $48750 ish. In this situation the MM square is supporting the focal point projection. So in this ...

FLD's are not just useful for pattern recognition & targeting, they can also be used as support/resistance. This is a smoothed 32 day FLD providing excellent support for Bitcoin since the bottom. image

Yes Dave, strange choice of octaves there. I get 187.5 to 250 on my indicator. That's also what PB's xcel sheet gives. image image

Do you feel this is helping you stay in positions longer, or is the MML indicator just providing confirmation of targets.

When you say the 200 EMA is centred do you mean centred between the parallel EMA's as it doesn't appear to be a centered MA. A centered MA is offset by 1/2 of its span, yours doesn't appear to be offset at all By offsetting/centering the MA it ...

They look like some very good results. I'd done a similar thing with bitcoin's last bull run and its retracement back into the 2022 low, and got the same sort of result. The issue I can see is that if price is overbought or oversold the fractal can ...

Sorry Dave, but I think that using x2 as the time frames is very limiting. Ours are just multiples of 8 (also a bit limiting) Though it looks like the octave formulae for price is pretty much the same, and that's more important than time imo.

That's good though, because we want the chart presented with obvious changes in price range, rather than just a flat line. A 0 to 1000 chart wouldn't work that well. The 0 to 500 is also the reading produced by your excel software, so it's quite ...

Interesting point. If I start from 26 Sept, as you have Dave, my software presents price in a lower fractal than 25 - 50. At first I thought this was an error, but when I look closely you can see that price has not yet closed above the +2/8, so imho ...

That's the important point imho, "we don't violate the characteristics of the BIG CHART" That's also the beauty of using purely mathematical formulae to do the calculation, it's impossible to violate the proportions of the larger fractals.
