I went short here as well (90.81), but got out @ 90.75. Looks like R2 is a major resistance point, as it has hit and bounced twice now since about 6:34-50 AM EST. If it tests R2 again and breaks I'll throw another short on the barby.

Read "Candlestick and Pivot Point Trading Triggers" by John L. Person. I highly recommend the book. It'll explain pivot points and how to user them with different candlestick patterns, etc. You can find it online.

I'd like to know what type of leverage you're using as well, as it seems your tp are relatively low. Are you trading from pivot to pivot (e.g. todays FPV is 91.11, w/ MR1 @ 91.37 and MS1 @ 90.85; difference from FPV of 26 pips to both mid-levels). ...

You're correct in stating that we are in a "down" wave, however there is not necessarily a requisite upswing directly following this wave before resuming in the downtrend from Sept. 9 to Oct. 7. It would appear we are in danger of closing below the ...

Doesn't look like Durables had too much of an affect, I think USD is at the stage where good news means nothing and bad news is the harbinger of doom. Perhaps new home sales will spur a larger move, hopefully to the downside

Myself and few other people in the thread see a test of 90 today, I'm about to go short, but reducing my lot size in case durables goes crazy.

This is why I'm worried about going short at the moment, because my hourly chart has a MACD preparing to cross, and weakening stochastics (oversold). Core Durables will probably get a big green spike to the upside from the trend I'm seeing in the ...

Position doesn't look good in long run (+4 hours from now). 4hr and 1hr trends are both down. I would set a TP for around 91.32, or take half there and hold till 91.40. Signals don't provide much momentum past these price points.

Here are two graphs, one with fib retracements and one without. It would appear that in keeping with the trendline, we're headed to around 93.78 or the 38.20% fib retracement of 93.04. The 60 SMA that's on the first graph seems to mirror the ...

Thought I'd post an obvious update; PA has hit 60 MA on daily chart, looks like it might close above it. Weekly trend is still technically down, but MACD looks ripe to cross, however is about 500 pips away from 60 MA (weekly). Thoughts?

No problem. The MACD indicator included with MetaTrader 4 has no complimentary EMA to go with the "signal" EMA, so there can be no crossover signals. The "true" or complete MACD indicator that I provided you has all these components. I included a ...

I'm not arguing on the destination of USD or the economic ramifications of buying USD. The main point was to substantiate the sudden flight from USD. Weekly trends for USD/JPY and EUR/USD are down and up, respectively. My main interest is the ...

Use this MACD instead of the stock MT4 indicator. The stock MACD is faulty considering lag and how it calculates certain MAs; one of the by-products of not having the "line" that you can't see. Use this one instead. I also included a variety of the ...

That wouldn't explain why the dollar has fallen from almost 124 to 9x.00s though. If you look at Japan's economy, they still export about $40 billion more than they import; while the U.S. imports about $820 billion more than they export. Minor ...
