I am refering to the longer term trend yes. However I am not saying that a change will definitely occur, merely that a number of factors suggest its possible.
USDCAD trend reversal?

Is it time for a reversal — Looks like we have some nice EW relationships. Also divergence on 4 hrly. A break of upper red line will confirm change in trend. Verno
USDCAD trend reversal?

I agree that the market could well make a trend reversal, but currently the trend is still pretty strongly down on a daily time frame. I admit hourly it has been consolidated, but personally I am wary of being long in the face of such a strong ...

Do you mean a particular pair or just dollar unwinding in general?
Could this be the start of the unwinding
- verno replied May 24, 2007
I totally agree. Elliot is a form of TA that encourages debate. Surely that is healthy. If we start saying you can't post Elliot then surely you can't post any charts. If so then we just have people here saying "tell me which way cable is gonna go ...

marketwavez, this is what I am looking at. I am not sure if the abc I have is strictly correct, it is probably a double zz and I need to give it a bit more analysis but I think its a possibility. The other option is that this is wave d and not a ...

Nice chart Marketwavez, nice to see some EW analysis on here. I agree with you, I think we are in wave 4 with another push higher. I feel this is the start of a move to 2.

I believe that they raised it to 5.75 interim with a view that it would the come back down later in the year. I think the short sterling contracts fell but no massive affect on Cable.

My advice would again be if you can afford the loss. I myself use stops dilligently and trade mainly FX. I once left a position open over a friday night and the market moved dramatically overnight. My stop was triggered about 150 pips from where it ...
To hold or not to hold trade during week-end?

I dont use 100 or 200 but I do use 10, 21 and 50. I tend to try to use them as a form of support or resistance and trade with the trend. I also use them on hourly, 4 hourly and daily charts. I don't really use them in a consolidation phase.
The 100 and 200 Simple Moving Average
- verno replied May 10, 2007
Agreed with others. I think we are nearing the end of a major consolidation phase and waiting to see if we get a surprise (50 or 0) which is a realistic possibility. Given all this, I think major market positions will be fairly light and volume is ...

You hit "ALT + Print Screen" buttons at the same time and then paste the image into something like paint or a more advanced tool. You then save the image (probably as jpg) and when you post there is a "manage attachments" button which allows you to ...

I intend to trade from the long side unless the market gets below about 1.9920 at which point I will be unsure. Thinking of a long circa 1.9940 if it gets there.

Hello all, I am new to this forum but have been known to post on others, its just that there don't seem to be that many cable people on other forums. I took a small long today (but am out now) for the following reasons: 1. Daily trend is up 2. I ...
