Disliked{quote} Honestly great job on both your longs and shorts. I always realise we are in a range too late and after too many losses. This is mainly down to my swing trading approach but damn does it suck to get so many losses.Ignored
If your method is more “discretionary” than “mechanical”, then the flexibility will allow you to adapt it to differing market cycles and behavior. However, it’s also important to retain a measure of consistency in your approach.
Discretionary systems are heavily dependent on knowledge and experience. As the saying goes, good decisions are the product of experience; experience is gained through learning; and we learn most from our bad decisions!
As you know, my trade concepts are closely related to support, resistance, trends and pullback, breakouts to occur, for as long as prices continue to move.
Hence the most robust systems should be built around these concepts; I’m still studying hoping that as I gain more knowledge and experience, the “finesse elements” like timing and exit management should fall into place.
