DislikedSteve, You are becoming famous fast! See post no. 1 on SSS Ea thread.Ignored
DislikedSteve,
The LR addition looks great for V2.
I have tweaked some of the default settings and bam! this beast might just have Yen crosses beaten. (I wish)
Find attached a backtest (1 with MM off @ 0.04 lot of and the other MM on) and set file for GBPJPY.
Enjoy,

QuoteDislikedNot really been keeping up, have you? If you can't even be bothered to read Scoob's posts here, you really have problems.
Do take up golf rather than forex trading, won't you.
QuoteDislikedI cant remember who but someone asked how my 3TF JPY EA was doing. You can find details here:
http://www.myfxbook.com/members/lenovos10e/3tf/14536
However, the ROI looks good so far but to me the drawdown is way too high.
Scoobs.
QuoteDislikedIts just a 80/20 OB/OS 3TF JPY EA.
The very interesting thing is that the stats (so far) show I could have achieved roughly the same ROI just using AUDJPY, EURJPY and USDJPY with allot less drawdown (< 1%).
This does kind of make sense as the GBPJPY is what causes the DD to any method/strategy.
But I really should have known that!!!!!!!!

DislikedHi Steve, I have been reading the whole thread. Perhaps there is some confusion as there are a number of different but similar bots that are being discussed here. Anyway, the last I read about this particular 3TF 24 Hour bot that Scooby himself developed was post 4908 where he wrote:
And then where he responded to the drawdown issue later with this post (#4911):
Perhaps there was another post or two later, but this is the only thread in FF that I read every day and I am sure I would have spotted it.
Scoobs, did you try your suggestion above...Ignored
DislikedFollowing on.....
If anyone has done any analysis on the XXXJPY pairs will have quickly found out that BUY'S tend to close allot quicker than SELL's.
This means that buying against the trend is more profitable than selling with the trend.
How can that be I here people ask ?
Well, the answer is in the BOJ intervention policy document, if anyone actually read it completely.
The markets trully believe that the YEN is overvalued due too artificial daily manipulation!!!!!

DislikedScoob I have been reading some books lately and have two questions:
1. "Kimono traders", how much are they affecting the yen value?
2. Other than JPY, isnt the CHF also manipulated by the SNB to get the same result?Ignored
DislikedHi
The TpMultiplicationFactor on the orginal robot is set to default as 200. My broker (FXSol) provides 4th digit pricing (I've changed EmergencyTakeProfit, EmergencyStopLoss and MaxSpreadAllowed) so I would have to change TpMultiplicationFactor to 20?

QuoteDislikedI am running a new test with AUDJPY, EURJPY and USDJPY.
There is only 1 weeks results so far but the strange thing is that all the trades are positive.
It does kind of make sense because GBPJPY and NZDJPY cause large DD and previously were stoping basket hitting TP. Plus the combined spread for all 7 was just stupid.
Also, USDJPY has a connection to all the XXXJPY pairs so getting the combined GroupRSI value for just these 3 trades will in theory increase profitablility. i.e. You should always have 2 out of 3 profitable trades. But at the moment...
DislikedCheers mate. That is very interesting - and you are right that it is strange to have all pairs closing positively. Very nice though. I wonder if any of the programmers etc on your trading floor have an idea of why that is? Of course, you won't find anyone complaining about too many positive trades here
Looking forward to seeing how this little fella develops. You could call him "Scrappy"Ignored
DislikedIs it worth trading the GBP/JPY with a 9 pip spread (original BOJ)? I'm just sticking to EUR/JPY. Can't believe I chose FX Sol as the broker to go live with and I knew their spreads were wide, 9 pips is a disgraceWill have to start searching for a proper broker.
