DislikedJust tried it again for the Durable goods, but same thing happened. The price started moving a few seconds before the official news time, and the modifying order couldn't keep up, but before 1 order was filled, everything got deleted.Ignored

DislikedBK,
Great script.
I actually loaded this onto the GBP/$ for this morning 7:30 GMT news even too.
I watched it do it's "Majic" right up to the point it "ABORTED"...Spread too wide.
Luckly I have a fast connection and I entered it manually and caught 70% of the dip.
I needed to widen the Max Spread setting to correct this problem. It was set to the default of 5.
I reloaded it on the EUR/$ for the 11:30 GMT news event and widen the Max Spread to 6 on the EUR/$ (normally 2 pips).
Thanks again for the hard work you put into it.
Let see how it does on the next run.Ignored
DislikedThe main thing I like with this script is that it sort of enable you to relax before news time knowing that your straddle orders will be placed automatically. No need to stress out with manual entry orders. It worked well with Durable goods news although I collected a meagre amount of pips because the market retraced.
I notice the script has an expiry date. Does that mean that it will not work after 31st March?Ignored
DislikedHi. the script didnt work for me, trading durable goods today
my targer buystop was 1.3355, the current price was 1.3344. the orderdistance was 10pips, at 13:58:00 it showed on the chart that buystop was being placed. i watched the price moved to 1.3367, still the buy order was not placed, what was your price target?. the currency pair is eur/usdIgnored
DislikedFrom that screen shot, it is obvious the problem IS NOT with burgerstraddlescript.
10 lots? Do you have enough money to trade 10 lots?
What is your leverage, and whats your broker's required margin?
Not having enough money can cause this problem too. ie, on my example, it was "no money", your broker may not say "no money" and give you no clear reason and just delete it anyways.. I dont need to ask who your broker is... its for you to sort it out.. but please be sensible!
COUNT YOUR MONEY before you even place the orders! Dont even considering putting 100 standard Lots with a $100 account HOPING you can turn that money into $10,000 this NFP... Please count your money too!Ignored
DislikedBK,
10 lots was only 3% of my account. I am very sensible when it comes to money. And I have manually placed pending orders myself before with the same broker (UGMFX). Whenever I manually place pending orders, it works, but with this script, it doesn't lol.
But, cool, i'll speak to them and see what they say.
Thanks.Ignored
