Looking to open a bank account in Singapore, Hong Kong or Switzerland. I want to maintain this account as my "forex/investments funding account". No idea how hard it is for a foreigner to open an account there and what the minimum account balance requirements are. Any suggestions and help will be greatly appreciated. Also, I'm not in the US, so if there are any restrictions for US citizens, they won't affect me.
I have ~$10K to fund an FX account and I'm considering Dukascopy. Anyone know of any other reputable brokers in the above countries who are willing to open accounts for foreigners? Ideally, I'd like to have an account with someone who is unlikely to go bankrupt or steal my money (Big banks and reputable brokers like MF Global come to mind). MF Global in Singapore has FX spot. Any idea what their minimum deposit is?
Hope at least a few of you have done this before... And thanks for the help!
