Disliked...everybody back in business and as more than widely expected all markets back to square one before the Holiday break. All markets ready to kick start the year ...not much to update as, its hopefully very clear to all, is nothing new across the board but now we can finally start moving with everybody back on board ... DislikedUMXN unlocking short term play above 7800 trough the dollar. Got some on 7370 looking to add. Some larger high levels now opened on dollar mid term, just looking for tap above 0350 UCHF first before opening any play scenarios.Ignored
DislikedEurope going home with a very moving day across the board... Oil hitting large hands on the test $55.xx with a sharp selloff +4% and counting but most importantly triggering the first 'choose your poison time' of the year for the mid term leg extension. Actively looking for entries this week. On the FX board, Euro in the 4th test of the lows and now they are naked. Tracking closely the close as we are set for a 'roll play' for the NFP play. To complete the 'combo we also have US Equities (S&P 2248.xx for ref) set to trigger 'choose your poison time'...Ignored

QuoteDisliked"Roll in play" it just my own coined term to highlight there is a Trade opp on the close (D.W/M/Q).
--> In practical terms a 'roll' play usually shows up at the end of pullbacks/begging of continuation moves and is made in the very calm waters (the opposite of a news trade) where most of unaware traders can't even smell it.
--> It doesn't necessarily mean that action is taking place at the exact closing range but rather the opposite: That in the next few sessions whatever was happening until then wont be happening in the same way. A simple example to make it understandable will be, if Europe was buying the dips but NY was capping the rallies after extending the highs (a textbook of a basic natural ebb and flow), a roll play would mean that if the roll play end up been valid, the next few session Europe wont be buying anymore the dip and therefore the ebb and flow will change ...etc etc
--> Its by definition the cleaner entry you may get if you get it right because you are positioning in very clam waters and without anybody including softer retail on it. A good roll play will usually have very little (if any in relative terms) drawdown but it wont ever by itself make a major game changer in direction. Thats why it appears and is most useful in end of pullbacks/retraces or the beginning of new or fresh break out continuation legs with the trend and seldom and almost never in major trend change tops and bottoms...
Disliked{quote} for me oil is nice long around 5220, but stop is 5090 ...Ignored
QuoteDislikedand im confused about what u said in equities..."short term continuation leg"? the short term and mid term in equities i thought was long currently or have i misread?
Disliked{quote} - does this mean that we do not expect tomorrow's FOMC minutes to be much of a mover?Ignored
QuoteDislikedWhat exactly means 'roll play' here? Is this an opportunity a position to be opened at the close today and to be held through NFP? Thank you
QuoteDislikedt's like London Sells and NY Buys???? Or visa versa.
Disliked{quote},,,, so may be right time. because this is one of concepts I still do not really understand even though it has been explained here a few times on the theoretical/abstract lvl.Ignored
--> Momentum play. Accelerating, Exciting, Adrenaline, Feel good and the king of the road entries. Yes all that. Those are break waves with the trend that extend the range. Expensive, risky but quick and zero noise for the resolution. Either right or wrong you will know in 'no time'. Hint: Is the point of no return which is not necessarily the ultimate low or high but rater where one side will capitulate given the next S or R will be on air after a pullback/retrace. These entries are advanced and complex. If you are not swinging from above/below and managing your positions properly, they become the 'widow makers' for those who try to outguess the 'real' break. Should represent only a very small % of your entries....
Whatever the entries, you obviously need to be right in the direction otherwise you will fail no mater what (although in the first 2 you will usually have time to clear for a smaller loss than your natural stop or scratch in good time).
More than 2/3 of the iterations entries last year were one of these 3 basic entries .... We'll 'discuss' a bit more or better say we'll trade them live in the next ....
