Hey Xaphod,
I'm writing regarding the MTF Stochastics. I use it mostly without the MTF function on the same time frame because I like the dots bar close function and colour changing, amongst other features.
My question is with regards to the shots below:
I know that the colour changes when the stoch goes up or down by comparison to the previous measurement. It also stays the overbought and oversold colours between the 20/80 (or other selected) settings.
What I have noticed is that it sometimes does not change colour when the stoch does indeed move from a higher to lower or vice versa position - even when well outside the O/B or O/S. I ask because (and this might be luck) trusting the colour more than the direction often results in a win.
I'm guessing that either a) I'm crazy since a heart rate monitor makes me think OS, OB, OS.... b) there is a calculation behind the move inertia of price relative to the stochastic.
If the "glitch" was intended, please can you share the logic behind it? Please don't fix it though - it works marvellously to indicate weak moves - at least in my world
Cheers,
J
