Your analysis is correct. See among others my post nr. 1035 on page 52 in the thirdscreen strategy thread. http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...49#post6727449 : I examined the behaviour of the MACD and my conclusion is that there is a 'glitch' in macd_adjustable.
I discussed these things extensively with 100Pips and Khaled. However, they didn't accept my arguments and insisted on continuing to use the same old wrong indicator.
My conclusion is : these people (100PipsADay and Khaled) are, for whatever reason, not willing to change anything. So, the best I can advise you is to search elsewhere for a better indicator or to write one yourself.

Apart from the faulty indicator, there is another source for discrepancy in macd - results : Your broker could be.
When you use a broker who has 6 daily candles per week instead of five, you are asking for trouble.
