Dislikedhey, hope everyone is well. we had a BB expansion on the 4hour with a price breaking through trend lines and MA's. We now have what i consider a good H/S pattern in my books. initial target 143.35 and a secondary of around 142 and a tertiary trade with an unlimited target with a trailing stop at the 4H MA's. {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} ok guys, i took a step back and looked at a current chart from an unbiased view point and asked myself a few questions. 1. would i be entering short here? no, i would not. 2. are you happy with the run that the existing trade has made? Yes, very. If i stopped trading today, 2 weeks into the new year i would have hit this years target. 3. Looking back you were bullish, has any large fundamental changes altered your outlook? No it has not. 4. are there any long setups that you would potentially try with great R:R? Yes so that being said i...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Not sure why you would be bullish on this pair besides maybe Abenomics. But to me, that's moot for now at least. With QE on the horizons for Europe and risk tolerance near zero, I see both EURUSD and USDJPY potentially heading lower. EURJPY shorts in that case seem to be a great trade. I'm still short.Ignored
Disliked{quote} its more or less the last line of defense for the bulls. Im unable to see price blowing past without any sort of reaction. To me this move seems alittle blown out of proportion for the duration. if there was any place to get long it would of been a logical point at that trend line. what do i think about the eur and jpy? the future its not very bright for either, but im a technical analyst and my belief is that the chart reveals what it will do in probabilities. so i try to toss pre conceived notions of what i think will happen and trade...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Gotcha, I definitely see/understand your reasoning. And there's obviously nothing wrong with it. We're just on two different sides of trading style is all. While I agree the overall trend is up, the current one has been down (that's the one I'm playing). I also see a lot of fundamental risk... something you admit you don't tend to focus on. Thanks for fleshing out your thought process, it's great for everyone on the thread to see the reasonings behind differing opinions.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Dang Geppy you are everywhere. EUR/JPY is surely cheaper to trade for Americans than the dragon. Looking forward to Jan 22. EUR/JPY to the 220 EMA on the Weekly chart then up.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hard to say which way. If the Eurozone launches into QE, this baby will run down hard!Ignored
Disliked{quote} The big Swiss move, Jordan gave hints it would be a more massive QE program than they expect. Down 100% for certain before up.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Well, nothing is 100% in this game Temujin. You know that. But I hear ya, and my bets are placed in that direction too.Ignored
Disliked{quote} It as part of the reason Jordan gave up the EUR/CHF floor of 1.20 after 4 years. Now he would not have to do it. The ECB will do it for him.Ignored
Disliked{quote} I agree, that's most likely true. However, nothing is certain.Ignored
