Disliked{quote} And while we are talking about ranges, I got rid of two more strategies.... via process of elimination as my guiding principle. I now have 4 for trend following at the beginning of OC (my primary focus area), 3 for rangebound and 1 for pullbacks (in-between type) and, as expected, they all have varying degrees of scale depending on what type of "opportunity" you want to extract from the market. I must admit, In theory, this approach should be market neutral (which I confirmed in FX) but I am unable to convince myself yet for NQ. Something...Ignored

DislikedI gave up that temptation a long time ago now I make more per week/month than I ever did with 16 hours per month of trading.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Like I said, so far I've behaved myself other than today. But quality of life is definitely better when I grab my $250 per and get on with the rest of my life.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Right. 25 ticks = $125, so 2 profitable trades net X 25 ticks/trade = 50 ticks net profit X $5/tick = $250/contract. If all you need is $250/day, trade one contract. If you need to make $10,000/month, then trade 2 contracts. If you need/want a raise, trade another contract. All you need is 5 contracts to $20K+/month. Most folks could figure out a way to squeak by on that amount, I presume.Ignored

Disliked{quote} NQ couldn't handle that much size without as it is a much thinner market than the ES for example. Also, I doubt most people could trade that size and handle the mental game well enough to keep from blowing up. At some point, you reach "sweaty palms" size where you start messing with your stops, closing trades early, moving your stop, etc. 10 NQ's are $50/tick, or $200/point. If you average just the 25 tick/contract profit on your trading days, that's $1250/ day. Most consistently profitable traders can probably work their way up to that...Ignored
Disliked{quote} That's why I increased in increments 1 to 2 (for months) then 2 to 4 (for months) now 6 and I will stay here indefinitely since I make more than I needIgnored
DislikedIf I‘m not mistaken volume should roll to the June contract for Friday’s session.Ignored
Disliked{quote} I know there are traders who day trade 100 ES contracts at a time, which is $1250/tick and $5000/point. I'm not at that level lol and I truly doubt anyone at FF is. But they are out there.Ignored
