Disliked{quote} Hello Alan, "senanata" asked me "what is my advice", but I am no one here, you are the EA producer and seller. So, I ask you: if also the second broker will use "a typical broker trick" or another one (choose you) that avoids positive performances and/or some gains, what is your advice exactly? Best regards. /achabIgnored
It is inevitable that there will be Price Gaps and Slippage which are there to make it difficult for traders who just trade the news spike. But my EA is not there for just trading the News Spike. You can use it for that, but you can use it for a lot more like 'Breakout Trading' (e.g. at London Open for example) or 'Reversal Trading', where price does the opposite of what is expected based on the News result.
In my experience though most people are mainly just using it for trading spikes and that is not as easy as it was 5-8 years ago. But that is also why I don't market it as 'Use this EA and make $$$$$$'.
News Trading can give you an edge in the market. Often by providing a reference and an insight into what the market is thinking or expecting. However, to understand those subtleties can take a few years of experience. A Straddle Trading EA is a great tool whether you are new or experienced.
However, please don't call it a 'robot'. A 'robot' EA is one that you just attach to an account and you leave it to trade by itself. AmazingEA is not a robot - although it can configure itself and store parameters in a spreadsheet, I wouldn't advise anybody to just let it trade.
It's a tool, one that I have spent many hours working on. And in case you are wondering why I charge for it - I got sick of others stealing my ideas and code and placing it in their own 'products' and selling it. They are the ones that use the kind of advertising that make it sound easy and that you are bound to get rich with pictures of holidays and cars and happy families. They also give the impression that they have many coders and a huge support network. But in reality, they give a lot less back in help than I do.
