If you look carefully at those diagrams, the wave 4 that they are presenting is actually a triangle, where the 'e' wave of the triangle does not finish in the territory of wave 1. Wave 4 being a triangle also makes sense from the guideline of alternation perspective - wave 2 was sharp so wave 4 should be sideways, hence the triangle. This keeps the all important rule of overlap satisfied and validates the count.Ignored
