Disliked{quote} Great book. Volume/VSA can definitely add another dimension to your trading, but as with anything in this racket, it can be subjective... you've already got a solid foundation, it's quite useful to lean your analysis against and add weight to your decisions.Ignored
Disliked{quote} actually is not subjective at all .......once you spend the time learning it. the thing that new vsaers do not understand is that smart money is not in the market all the time ... and therefore they read something into every bar also they totally forget background ... last 200 bars on a 30 min chart . My trade success is close to 85 % .. to accruate to be subjective.Ignored
DislikedGood morning we have an interesting chart on gold , on the 30 min there was an upthrust on Friday and back ground on the 60 min over last few days looks like potential distribution . I am watching for any sign of a break down of the currentl1516 to 1506 channel and will be selling sow after if that break down happens I would like to see tha 60/30 curl down in order to confirm the weakness that I believe is there {image}Ignored
DislikedNormally you can tell by flow .....like take gbpusd today for example just cop up and down no flow to it .. However gold moved well in a nice downtrend. also you can tell by the amount of volume in the market at any time (gauged by the amount of activity on your quote screen)Ignored

Disliked{quote} Great thread mate! Very good prediction too Really refreshing change to what I've been involved with so far! Will muck in with a few entry charts from Monday if OK with you.Ignored
Disliked{quote} sounds good to me the predictions are a bit easier when you understand vsa. Smart money enter positions over days and often when they do this you can see thier footprints in the charts . Gold now has broken under 1462 support so still selling rallies .. I believe if the weekly weakness plays out we head back to 1350 long term .. not that far away .Ignored
Disliked{quote} 1350 sounds great! I shall certainly get into understanding VSA more fully. Was watching one of Simon Townshend's videos and quite interesting what he advises on identifying distribution/accumulation areas - looking for bar sizes. Looking for "magic Line Formation" He advises traders to completely ignore looking for breakout of trading ranges which can be dangerous of course - so many fakeys! I have attached the screenshot - don't know what you think - looks interesting? {image}Ignored
