DislikedHello all, I have been using MT4 on my VPS for years now and just today it stopped working saying its offline and needs to be updated ... Dont know why why out of the blue this happened. Where can I download a clean MT4 installation from? Any replies are much appreciated ! CheersIgnored
DislikedIt's the best update ever. Before terminal.exe used more than 1GB memory and was hogging my CPU so much on startup that it took at least 1min. That's because I have 14 chart with lots of indicators. Now suddenly it starts immediately just like you expect and use 112MB!!! I mean going from 1.4GB memory use to 112MB seems like some serious coding errors in prevoius builds. I always thought it was because it's 32bit, but that memory usage in build 1415 is like magic.Ignored

Disliked{quote} so do you think a Ukraine company is more trustworthy than a Russian companyIgnored
Disliked{quote} This is a Russian company: {image} And this is a Ukraine company: Unless you are a forex trader, Quantower is a handsdown winner. Actually, Quantower is a rising star among futures traders. Also, U.S. gov may start to feel uncomfortable with this Russian company now as it's deeply involved with western financial system. Who know if this Russian company have made some backdoors in their software? The only reason I still use this ancient software is old indictors made by Mladen and Mrtools. Otherwise, I will ditch it without hesitation....Ignored
Disliked{quote} Is anyone using this platform for Forex? Contrary to what is quoted above, they do have a procedure to link to some FX brokers This video from 2019 even https://youtu.be/U5luFf-pQXU?si=Bap8MxPkboGJa734Ignored

Disliked{quote} Over the last 15 years I probably tried every retail platform available. Starting with a life-time license for NeoTicker, then NinjaTrader, then MultiCharts, finally found MetaTrader 4. In between I tried SierraCharts (my second best choice after MT4) and last year I tried Quantower. If you only trade FX you don't need to look any further as MT4. It's by far the best. Said that, if you start dabbling into futures CFD conditions of MT4 brokers are sup-optimal. We don't want to mention MT5 here because futures conditions with MT5 are ridiculous....Ignored
