Quoting MoneyMa$terDislikedBefore I contact my broker, what was the highest price on your platform? Anyone see a price of 6983? My short got stopped out at that price. I was slipped 16 pips to 6945 from my entry price of 6961, then just as quickly stopped out at 6983.Ignored

Quoting MoneyMa$terDislikedBroker's checking it out. I must admit I had a similar weird result last week and the broker actually CREDITED my account!! Only 5 lots but still, it's the principle of the thing.Ignored

Quoting munis6823DislikedHi guys,
Hope you guys dont mind me asking, for nzdusd, at 4.28 est, there was a spike as well, do we place an order below the spike or only last few 4 to 5 bars of high and low for 1 minute chart?
Is it ok to place an order 2 minute before the news?
Thanks in advanceIgnored

Quoting jon167DislikedI put a market order with autoclick in Forex.comIgnored
Quoting BurgerKingDislikedI now place orders 200~500 pips away from the price many minutes (sometimes hours) ahead of the news. Then I modify the orders seconds before the news; in this case 4:44:40PM NY Time.
PRO:
* I dont risk getting entered by a false spike before the news.
* Some brokers dont allow putting orders seconds to a minute before the news. Putting the orders early ensures I have the orders.
CON:
* It wont work when the news is released early. So far, early releases happened mostly with CAD news and US FOMC.Ignored
