DislikedCan someone give us some indication here please. As it is holiday what will be the effect of a good or bad report. Will it only start to reflect the next day after the holiday or will there be people watching or not.Ignored
DislikedThis attachment is my humble, odd, yet earnest effort at trying to express my good wishes and feelings of fellowship with all of you on this thread, and to Phillip, our teacher, a big, continuous thank you!
It is what I have to give, and like a dog fetching a stick, I offer it to you -- and now I'm grinning, panting, waiting for you to say, "good doggie!" Oh, no!! Shameless! --TonyIgnored
DislikedHey Tony, good doggy! Hope you're wagging your tail!! (ooh, not sure that's a lady-like thing to say, but I do actually mean the tail of a dog... hmm, best leave that there!).
I'm not going to go anywhere near dream analysis, especially swimming pool sized latrines! but I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment of the story. It's so strange how much power our minds hold, and we are only aware of the tiniest pieces of it! The 2 points that really stuck out for me were about how visualisation of a desired result can effect that result, and how suddenly becoming aware of others can seriously damage your confidence and hinder your performance. That's why it's so important that the heart of this thread remains positive and strong, and that we do post losing trades and times of troubles, emotional turmoils, etc. This is the most supportive group of people I've ever 'met', and yet we wouldn't know each other if we were all in the same street at the same time! Visualisation of your own trading goals, and life goals will keep you focussed on where you are going... one of the newer members of the thread has a brilliant signature about excellence being a habit, or something like that - can't remember exactly, but it's so true whatever it is!![]()
Anyway, we must continue to help each other, but at the same time keep our own visions clear. We are all doing this for our own individual reasons, and we must not lose sight of what we are individually trying to achieve while at the same time as being part of a team, Phillip's team. Mike dg has his own agenda, and it's not necessarily a bad thing to question intentions and motives, but we know Phillip is the best of Men, as are Palmer, Nadia, Ira, (if they don't mind being 'Men' for a moment?), and Tony, Jim, Ryan, and everyone else who strives so hard to help us learn and grow. Keep your individual dreams, goals and desires, by all means question the group, but never judge anyone. It's all a bit 3 Musketeers, but we each really are 'all for one, and one for all'.
Sorry if this is all a bit cryptic, or just total nonsense, but Tony's stories rang truth for me and I wanted to tickle his doggy tummy for it...Ignored

DislikedPalmer,
I have it being supported by a TL and looks like it has traced back to the 200. Might it not go either way? I'll guess I just wait and see and let it show me what it is going to do.

Moreland;
"traced back to the 200"??? I've go the 200 about 500 pips south...Are we on the same chart? I'm talking about the EURUSD..unless the space-time continuum is out of wack again, that'll explain things...Ignored
DislikedYes, a bit difficult... I was waiting for a down move too and there is a nice signal on MACD, but SL is too big, there is a gap + the signal is on the opening of the market and there is a holiday ... I think I'll pass this one, if there will be a retrace to the consolidation area or at least 8EMA and then a move down with TC - I'll take it, that's the same some other members are looking for.
What I have also noticed that on this trade I wanted to know other opinions, and that a bad sign.
P.S. Nadia, I have read somewhere that if the gap doesn't fill - it's a continuation gap, and usually strong indication of price move to the gap side. But I would like also to find more info on gaps, anyone can help?Ignored
DislikedHello Phillip, i have a question. I was anticipating a move down on euro because of the resistance on the 89 sma. Now my 4 our candle closes in a few minutes , but there is a 30pips gap on price on inter bank. macd has confirmed a TC down with profit targets to a potential trend line and then to 200 sma. But my demo account which is gmt + 2 does not show a gap and had a nice motion down with a tc. now i have taken a short position on my demo but am scared to take a live trade on interbank. do you have any suggestions on how to handle gap. i know you have warned in past that GAPS TEND TO BE filled. similar situation on GU as well. (any one who has experience to handle this is welcome to reply). thanks in advance.
NAdia.
Edit1: i have a feeling that the gap might be filled because price broke out of the trend line, this could be a false break out especially since it is holiday weekend and price can do funny things. will watch and learn from this price motion. So have to keep in mind that it is not just about a TC but what led to it is most important.Ignored
DislikedHi guys!
I know my request for help is off the topic of this forum. I have been following this forum for 2 months now. I am new in forex trading and since you have been doing this for quite sometime I value your recommendations. I have read in other forums and sites that there are brokers that are difficult to deal with and some are scammers. I am currently using Easy-Forex since they are the only one who has an office in my country (Philippines) But their spreads are big (7spreads) for a mini account. So I am scouting for a good alternative.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you,
RonaldIgnored
DislikedI think things are not stable and moving as anticipated. Could be off low volumes. I dont think it is news related. The gap has been filled allready.(When I typed this) I will skip this one purely because it is holidayIgnored
