Quoting Beachie41Dislikedyes, he tends to to take the initial BO of the channel & perhaps add a few pips as a filter, whereas I like to wait for a continuation pullback bar(s) after the BO. You miss some, but saves you also from a lot of fakes outs. If it does fail it usually ends up looking like a 2B top with harry hindsightIgnored
Quoting narafaDislikedI have a complete pdfs series called "Trading as a business", I can't remember where I downloaded from or who sent it to me, but anyone who is interested to get them, please PM me, everybody is welcomed...
I think the series is written by the same guy, and amazingly, the files do not have any copyright disclaimers or anything to show the name of the author..
What makes me sure that it's the same author is that he is heavily relying on the TradeStation software just as Merlin does
Thanks,

Quoting WTBDislikedExactly, that's the way you play breakouts: you wait for the breakout to pull back and bounce back off the channel border that's been broken (target = channel width, but I personally aim for a 20% less for safety).
Otherwise you'll be eaten by fake outs. You will miss some moves, but your accuracy % will be much higher.
It's also how I trade pivot breakouts.
