DislikedYes, fx volume is tick volume, because actual volume can't be and isn't centralized since there are so many entities (banks, market makers, brokers, LPs, retailers, etc.) trading on their own. Yes eSignal brings many of those (ticks) together, but a good liquidity provider (broker's) tick volume works as well, as long as they have decent market depth behind them.
Futures volume for currencies on the other hand is centralized since the prices flow from the exchange, and you will see Malcolm and others utilizing them in the same manner.
