DislikedThe oddest thing just happened to me. I had a short position on the AUD and right after it went all the way south, Oanda stops my trade, saying that it hit my stop loss which was 9 pips away.
Anyone had this issue? It is a demo account, but Im on the process of opening a live account with them, and if it that would happen to me with real dough, I would be really pissed off.
Thanks!Ignored
DislikedI don't understand. You were short AUD, AUD goes down, and it gets stopped out?Ignored

DislikedThis is a plausible explanation. Brokers often increase the spread when there is some fast breaking news. (like NFP).
Follow this up with OANDA to see if that was it.Ignored

DislikedI just had a thought:
If we break a trend line and are unsure of direction would it be a wise idea to set up two trades one in each direction? Use half the channel as a stop loss point for the other direction trade. This way one trade gets stopped and you make half the channel as profit.Ignored
Dislikedu should try it (on a demo), see how it goes..
