Disliked{quote} Alerts trigger based on incoming data. Why would you want an alert in the middle of the weekend when the market is closed?Ignored
Disliked{quote} Yes, I understand that but I thought I could test what the Alert Trigger Bar parameter does. I assumed that a setting of 0 would trigger the alert on the closed bar and a setting of 1 would trigger on the bar after that. I expected to see the arrow move over one bar from where it had been on the chart?Ignored
Disliked{quote} In MT4 bars are counted in reverse order as the newest bar is usually the most relevant bar and it is useful to have it as a fixed reference point. So bar 0 is the currently opened bar, bar 1 is the latest closed bar, bar 2 is the second latest closed bar and so on. The arrows paint a position where a crossover occurred and do not move as the crossovers do not move. Well, as the chart is shifted to the left by incoming bars, the crossover points are shifted together with the arrows. So you are not going to see any arrows move on a static...Ignored
DislikedHey Xaphod ! I saw the " TDI alerts" is branded with your nickname .. .. so let me ask a question : I´d like to have an alarm , when the TDI green crosses the blue bands . There is the synergy TDI , that marks possible entries when the price comes back . I´d like to have a signal when the Green crosses blue as first as a " weakup " to look on a pair for a possible TMS entry without viewing the chart all the time during my main work . Do you have such a TDI in one of your folders ? Thx Guido {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi Guido, I do not think I have one that does that. Perhaps the TMS watchdog indicator? I don't know which alerts it provides. Have you tried searching the 'trading made simple' thread and the 'craig harris stochastics method' threads?Ignored

Disliked{quote} Your idea was not bad .. I found one that sounds like what I´m looking for in the " craig harris stoch. method " .. it´is one of your posts from 2010 ! http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...77#post3762677 But I don t get it work ; is the reason for it the " 600+ build " in the Mt4 ? You said in this post " TDI RSIxVB Alert: TDI Alert indicator for RSI price line and volatility band crossovers. Requires the TDINoInput.ex4 is installed in order for it to work. One can download TDINoInput from here: http://www.forexfactory.com/attachme...202010%2014:37...Ignored
Disliked{quote} I don't think I would put much faith in that old thing. I would not write it like that if I where to do it again. If you want to compile that in MT4 you will have to remove all the period chars in the parameter names. Search and replace. Or you could use the utility program I wrote for that purpose which you can find on my website. If you searched for the missing indicator here on ff you should have found this: http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...74#post3375274 Or you could replace the TDINoInput indicator with a...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Got it work with the " TDINoInput" .. but it makes a ping only all 2-3 volatility band breakouts.. whatever.. thanks for your help .. GuidoIgnored
DislikedIt appears that some versions of the TDI indicators being used in the 'Trading Made Simple' system look different live than they do after they have been redrawn. The lines for the current bar are mostly not updated as the bar changes. This results in the chart of an indicator that has been running live looking different form a chart of an indicator that is newly loaded. The line for the current bar is drawn when the bar opens and then is only updated if the brokers server happens to...Ignored
