Disliked{quote} Indeed! I think that some traders are not taking advantage of the lot sizing increment based on Mers' rules... The first few trades are most likely to be shitty if the retracement goes half way, but the bottom trades should have enough Leverage to minimize them losses. JayIgnored
DislikedTook 3 trades on 5 min chart, missed 1 and closed all three for 79 pips. No losses. Could have been 100+ but I was late to the close signal. Qtum set at 200. A lot fewer signals on the 5 min yet I still took 80 pips! Had I took the fourth trade it would have been 100+ I used a 100 SL and moved to 50 when profit hit 30 pips per trade. Will test the 5 min again next week. Some of the pips being pulled on this thread are incredible. {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} 'MorningThanks for your ideas, LL, & I see what you are getting at. My jQuantum template is already a "busy" chart by my standards, so unless I really connect with an indi, I'll leave it off. Here's a chart I posted last month on the Flag Trading the Trend thread.. almost naked & the only thing I'll sometimes add is a 9 period Donchian channel, purely as it makes short-term SR levels easier to see (I trade the Bund very short term, entering on pullbacks in a swing) : {image} If this project survives my forward test, I will trade it Live...

Disliked{quote} The problem is that I have become aware that there are several traders with sub-10K accounts (real) applying this method and as I have said to them they are best to keep the lot size at a bare minimum if they trade multiple entries without any increment because a large DD period could easily wipe them out. This is one reason why they may choose not to leverage up since a smaller account would accelerate into DD much faster once incremental lot sizing is added into the mix especially as price drives away from them. Disliked{quote} HI JAY! This system only works on DD. And also a massive DD is tradable! as long as you adapt the lot size to your account and take the right action at the right moment!Ignored
Disliked{quote} It would be great to see more of the details! I looked at your charts ... on the bund are you getting to BE after 4 points then a discretionary exit (s/r, hi/low, trail etc)Ignored
Disliked{quote} OK thanks, just curious as I primarily trade PA and key levels as well using an EA set with my TP and stops (were probably using the same or similar EA as before) My system is serving me well but always open to new ideas!........Ignored
