Disliked{quote} {quote} The funny thing it is: both is working and none of they! I wanted to find when is working: Trending works in a certain hours of the day or if Yellen , Suppermario speaks to late then is working again. Mostly around 7-9 GMT is starting then a launch break and around 12-15 has a real push. Otherwise in a ranging most of the times of the day. GMT 19:00- 05:00 or to 7:00 Just write an EA and run at H1, and the EA do only sum the pip movement by hour , finally divide it by the count, so you have an average. ( this EA will not make any...Ignored
Disliked{quote} You have to understand trading is not easy. It requires you to be able to understand the psychology of the market. In a way, you need to be philosophical about it. Try to structure your trades so that it can be profitable in the long run. Don't focus on short term gains. Focus on the results you would get after you have executed your structured trading plan for at least 600 trades. Then you modify it until it is profitable. This is no easy task, but persevere and maybe you would succeed. In the meantime, do not trade a live account. Trade...Ignored
DislikedHi super, 1). How do you know the market will move 3 times of uour risk? 2). What % of your risk? 3). What leverage do you use? Thanks, Note: I am interested in big RR.Ignored
Dislikedhi, what time frame do you trade the most ? and you use only price action? or any patters?Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi Matheszabi, I seriously do not understand this post. However, you have a point there about the type of brokers traders should choose. Always choose brokers that are regulated by a strong regulator not just in some island. FCA(UK) and ASIC comes to mind. The broker that i am using is only valid for smaller accounts. P/s Owh i get it now, you are trying to tell me that i need to read the thread 100$ to 10,000$ so that i would trade better. Thanks for the advise and wisdom. I will check it out. I think i have read it before but its okay...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi antonsatu, 1)I don't really understand your question but if you mean how do i know the market will move in my favour three times of what i risked, then i must say i don't know it for sure. It is just that i am an experienced trader and based on my experience i take trades. This is a probability game. Look at the results above, i only win about 30% of my trades. 2)It depends 2% to 4% per individual trade(for the account above) 3)The highest I can have because leverage does not affect your risk. The size of your position does. There is...Ignored
QuoteDislikedFailures are good
QuoteDislikedExactly what i am trying to do! A+++ entry for Big RR and discipline
QuoteDislikedTo prove my point further i will share a trade journal showing exactly what I mean. I win 30% of the time but just look at the results
QuoteDislikedI don't trail my stop but i do have a break even once it reached certain pips and yes i do have a long term target about 30 to 60 pips. Depending on market conditions. You have to play around on this one. Which is why trading only one instrument will help you to get a 'feel' of its moves.
QuoteDislikedThe highest I can have because leverage does not affect your risk. The size of your position does. There is no difference if you open 0.1 lot position on 1:400 or 1:50 account. The only difference is with 1:400 you can open a lot more 0.1 lot position than a 1:50 account. That is what leverage is, it amplifies your buying/selling power.
QuoteDislikeddoing 1:3 trades that means you can loose 2-3 trades to break even right.
but you really need good patient when doing this.
DislikedI think this little experiment shows that no matter what your RR is, being over leveraged will kill your account.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Yip - I see the same pattern in most TE graphs. Irrespective of strategy. Consistent curve up - then BAM. Over and Over. Look at the top 100 live account TE's for October. It would surprise me if 20% of those accounts are in "all time" profit. It is as if this thing ( the forex market) knows every plan possible out there - and puts in concerted effort to destroy that.Ignored
