Hi,
Some weeks ago I started an open source project (Flexy Forex Tester). Here is the main concept:
I have another job and I don't have much time to spend on the project. That's why I'm looking for developers (Delphi/Lazarus) and/or OOP designers to help me create this project quicker. I have created the main OOP design and the work flow for the program. Everybody (not only developers) is welcomed to come to the project's forum and write a suggestion/feature (https://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=678743).
Some weeks ago I started an open source project (Flexy Forex Tester). Here is the main concept:
QuoteDislikedThis will be one application simulating a server (which gives the quotes, accepts the user orders) and a client (where the user script is executing - the client can send/modify/delete orders and get info from the server). The "server"'s side behaviour can be fully customized (slippage, order acceptance, custom rules, leverage) via plugins. On the "client"'s side the users can write their own scripts (there'll be a text editor - Pascal script language is going to be used) which can extract info from the "server" side and send/modify/delete orders. After testing a strategy there'll be detailed info with all the orders, maximum drawdown and other information regarding the executed script.
Multiple technical indicators will be integrated in the application and the user will be able to write his own.
Data can be inserted from any time frame - it'll be automatically converted to tick data (tick data can also be inserted). There'll be graphical representation of the quotes' data.
This project will help all forex traders test their strategies in a very flexible way - they just set the market conditions that suit their needs (leverage, spread, slippage) so that it's as close to their's broker behaviour as possible.
